Terms of Service for Juno Revise

1. Introduction
Welcome to Juno Revise. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use
of the Juno Revise website and application (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing
or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are under 18 years of age, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian to
ensure that you and your parent or guardian understand these Terms.
2. Service Provider
The Service is provided by an individual operator ("Provider", "I",
"me", or "my"). References to "Juno Revise", "we",
"us", and "our" refer to the Service and its Provider.
3. The Service
Juno Revise provides an educational platform for GCSE and A-Level students to complete practice
papers and receive automated feedback.
3.1 Service Availability
While I strive to provide uninterrupted access to the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
- I do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or without interruption
- I may need to perform maintenance, updates, or improvements that may temporarily suspend
access to the Service
- I am not liable for any delays, interruptions, service failures, or other problems inherent in
the use of the internet and electronic communications
3.2 No Warranties
I make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or
timeliness of the Service or any content provided through the Service, including but not limited
to practice papers, marking, or feedback.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When registering, you
must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security
of your account and password.
4.2 Age Restrictions
You must be at least 13 years of age to access or use the Service. If you are under 18 years of
age but at least 13 years old, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with your parent
or guardian and they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OF
AGE.
5. User Conduct
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or any part of the Service
- Use the Service to cheat on actual examinations
- Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service ("scraping")
- Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair the Service
- Sell, resell, rent, or lease access to the Service
6. Subscriptions and Payments
6.1 Free Tier
I offer a free tier of the Service with limited features.
6.2 Premium Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions provide additional features and benefits.
6.3 Payment and Billing
If you purchase a premium subscription:
- You agree to pay all fees in accordance with the pricing displayed
- Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each subscription period
- Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
6.4 Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- If you cancel, you may continue to use the premium features until the end of your billing
period
- I do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by law
6.5 Service Interruptions and Credit Policy
- I am not obligated to provide refunds, credits, or other compensation for service
interruptions, outages, or technical issues
- Any credits or refunds provided are at my sole discretion
- I reserve the right to determine what constitutes a service interruption or outage
- Service interruptions due to scheduled maintenance, third-party actions, or events beyond my
reasonable control do not qualify for credits or refunds
- Your sole remedy for any service interruption is to terminate your subscription
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Service Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by me and are
protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Practice Papers
The practice papers provided through the Service are owned by me or my licensors. You may not
distribute, reproduce, or create derivative works based on these materials.
7.3 User Content
You retain any rights you have in the answers you submit. By submitting answers through the
Service, you grant me a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license
to use, store, process, and analyze your answers for the purposes of providing the Service to
you and improving the systems. This license includes the use of anonymized and aggregated data
derived from your answers for the development and improvement of the Service, including
artificial intelligence models and machine learning systems, subject to the limitations and
rights described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Termination
8.1 Account Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting me or via the contact page.
8.2 Account Termination by Provider
I may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior
notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to:
- You breach these Terms
- You use the Service in a manner that could cause me legal liability
- You are engaging in illegal activities using the Service
- I am discontinuing the Service
- I suspect fraudulent activity or misuse of the Service
- I am unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- You will no longer have access to the Service
- I will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where required by law to retain
certain information
- No refunds will be provided for any unused subscription period
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive
termination
- Anonymized data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained for Service improvement
purposes
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND
"AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. I EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES,
WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- IN NO EVENT SHALL I BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR
PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF
USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- MY TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID
FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR £10, WHICHEVER IS LESS
- I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM YOUR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE
TERMS
- I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DELAY OR FAILURE TO PERFORM RESULTING FROM CAUSES OUTSIDE MY
REASONABLE CONTROL
9.3 Educational Purpose
You acknowledge that:
- The Service is intended for educational purposes only
- I do not guarantee that use of the Service will improve your academic performance or results
- The automated marking and feedback system may not be 100% accurate
- I am not responsible for any consequences related to your reliance on the accuracy of the
Service
10. Force Majeure
I shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond my
reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or extreme weather events
- Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergency
- Terrorist attacks, war, civil unrest, or other hostilities
- Government actions or restrictions
- Strikes or labor disputes
- Cyberattacks, system failures, or internet outages
- Third-party service provider failures or interruptions
- Power outages or energy shortages
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless me and my agents from and against any and all
claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable
attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of a third party
- Your user content
12. Changes to Terms
I reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time at my sole discretion. If I make material
changes, I will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service
after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United
Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved:
- First, by attempting to resolve the dispute through good faith negotiations
- If negotiations fail, by binding arbitration in the United Kingdom in accordance with the
rules of the London Court of International Arbitration
- Any arbitration shall be conducted in the English language
- The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding
13.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS
AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be
limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in
full force and effect and enforceable.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and me regarding the Service and
supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
16. Business Structure Changes
I reserve the right to transfer or assign the Service and all related rights to a company,
partnership, or other legal entity in the future. You agree that such transfer or assignment
will not require your consent and that these Terms will remain in effect.
